The Biliteracy Pathway Awards are coordinated by the Language Opportunity Coalition (LOC). They are designed to create a pathway for long-term language learning from elementary through high school, and to prepare students to earn the Massachusetts State Seal of Biliteracy at high school graduation.
The criteria for making Biliteracy Pathway Awards was developed by the Language Opportunity Coalition based on ACTFL proficiency scale. Districts are encouraged to adopt and implement the Pathway awards following these guidelines.
- Adoption: How school districts can adopt the award
- Award Criteria: Award levels and assessments
- Certificates: Certificates that can be presented to students earning the award.
- Data Reporting: Submit data about your district’s awards
